At this easy/medium Hike we are going to explore the beautiful town of San Lorenzo de El escorial. Intermediate Hiking Trail. Mostly accessible paths. The starting point of the Tour is the el escorial Train Station. During the hike you will sightsee ancient oak forests “Bosque de la Herrería, impressive granite rock formations, mountain wildlife and flora, and superb mountain landscapes. we will take our lunch at mirador monte abantos. After the hike we will walk to monumental town of El Escorial.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Little about el Escorial:

The Royal Site of San Lorenzo de El Escorial is a symbol of the Spanish power in the XVI century and the past residence of King Philip II. El Escorial has functioned as a monastery, church, royal palace, pantheon, library, museum, university, school and hospital. This architectural treasure also contains a superb old library, royal chambers and a permanent exhibition of the royal collection of painting masterpieces. El Escorial is also famous for housing the Royal Mausoleum, the burial place for the kings of Spain.

At escorial we will start our hike from a cup of coffee at some bar. This hike is aprox 8km. only 1km of hike can be medium hard. rest of the hike will be easy one. most of the time we will walk under the shadow of pine trees. we will be taking breaks for photos 📷snacks 🍪 and lunch 🍱. After the end of hike we will go for beers at some teraza. But this will be optional* we will be coming back around 17:15pm, at 18:15pm we will be in Madrid.

We will meet at the underground cercanías train station at Nuevos Ministerios. Platform Number 1 at 9:10am for 09:30am departure. Both ways ticket cost is 10€, you can buy the ticket at the train station. people with abono JOVEN or Zone C2 card is Free. This train is coming from aranjuez and going to El Escorial.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★By Car or Bus:
We are starting our hike at 10:45 AM from the Train Station of El Escorial. you can reach to escorial by car, or by Bus ( The bus 661 leaving from Moncola undergroud bus Station every hour for El Escorial) and then you can meet us infront of the Train Station of Escorial.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What to Bring:

Be on time. bring your lunch, snacks and at least 1L of water, hiking or sneaker Shoes. A light jersey. don't forget your camera 😉.

in case of rain please come with rain Jacket.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cost / Charges:

The Charges are only 10€. pay online. Only accepting reservations by website. in case you paid and later you are not able to join the hike, you are NOT losing your payment, just let me know by whatsapp and then you can use this reservation for any future hike. The Price (10€) includes only Hike guide, everyone must pay by own public transport charges, which are mention above. if you want insurance, It is possible to arrange a personalized accident insurance for only 5€ providing name, surname and ID/Passport Number.

All our hiking events are lead by experience hiking guide, who sets the pace of the group, stops, etc. The Guide have the Right to block the person from the Group in case of misbehave, bad vibes or messing with other members of the Group. Drama and lazy people are NOT welcome at any hike, please stay home.

4. All our events are accessible by Madrid Public Transport. We do not offer any type of Travel or Accident insurance.
